The UltraLuna began as one of the most exciting pieces of the Luna Battle Pack, giving players a new way to experience one of the most recognizable putters in disc golf. By combining the trusted Luna shape with flight ring technology inspired by our UltraStar, the UltraLuna introduced a feel and flight experience that stood apart from a standard putter release.

Now, the UltraLuna takes the next step with a stock release in the Discraft Soft and Hard putter blends, making this new rendition of the Luna more accessible for players who want added feel, and clean releases.

First Run UltraLuna

The UltraLuna takes the trusted foundation of the Luna and adds a new layer of feel. Its defining feature is the Flight Rings across the flight plate, a design element inspired by the iconic rings of the Discraft UltraStar. This added texture gives players a more connected grip, helping create a confident feel whether you are lining up a putt, shaping a short approach, or throwing the disc off the tee.

Putter Blend Hard: For players who prefer a firmer feel, the UltraLuna in Putter Blend Hard offers a more structured grip in the hand. This blend gives the disc a clean, confident release, making it a great option for players who like a putter that holds its shape through the putting motion or on controlled tee shots. Paired with the UltraLuna’s Flight Rings, Putter Blend Hard creates a locked-in feel while still giving players the familiar reliability of the Luna family.

Putter Blend Soft: For players who like more flex and grip, the UltraLuna in Putter Blend Soft brings a slightly more forgiving feel to the hand. The softer blend gives players added confidence on touch shots, approaches, and putts where comfort and connection matter most. Combined with the Flight Rings across the disc, Putter Blend Soft enhances the connected hand feel of the UltraLuna while offering a more flexible, grip-focused option.

Why it Matters

The importance of the UltraLuna goes beyond one mold. It represents a connection between Discraft’s flying disc heritage and the modern evolution of disc golf equipment. The UltraStar has long been a symbol of touch, feel, and clean release. The Luna, developed with Paul McBeth, quickly became one of the defining putters of the modern era. With the UltraLuna, those two worlds meet in a way that players can actually feel every time they pick up the disc.

You'll want to bag the UltraLuna if you already trust the Luna but want a more connected feel in the hand. The UltraStar groove track gives players a unique reference point while still keeping the disc familiar enough for Luna throwers to adjust quickly.

For players with an ultimate background, the UltraLuna may feel especially natural. The Flight Rings connects back to the UltraStar, giving the disc a touch of flying disc familiarity inside a true golf putter. For disc golfers, it offers something fresh without asking them to relearn an entirely new mold.

First Run Ares

The wait is over. The First Run Ares is available now!

Built for players who want speed, confidence, and a finish they can trust, the Ares is made to handle aggressive throws without losing control. Whether you’re stepping into a full-power backhand, attacking a headwind, or shaping a committed flex line, this is a driver designed to hold up when the shot demands more.

The Ares carries the kind of speed and presence that big-arm throwers look for in a distance driver, but what sets it apart is the added confidence it brings at release. This disc is made for players who want to throw hard without feeling like the disc is going to turn too far or get away from them.

How the Ares Separates Itself from the Zeus

While Ares was built off the Zeus, they both offer two different advantages when attacking a course. Both are high-speed distance drivers built for power, but after testing and throwing the First Run Ares, it has officially started to separate itself as its own disc. Where the Zeus is known for controlled distance, glide, and workable power, the Ares brings a stronger, more torque-resistant flight with a more confident finish. It gives players the ability to throw hard into the wind without worrying about it drifting too far off line.

The First Run Ares also stands out with a consistent dome across the run.

That signature pop-top feel gives the disc a unique presence in the hand and helps create the kind of powerful flight players search for in a distance driver. Combined with its ESP blend, the Ares feels less like an overlap and more like a new option for players who want extra bite, added confidence, and a reliable finish at full power.

The Sled is officially joining the Discraft stock lineup in our Z blend, giving players a new way to experience one of the most unique putt and approach discs in our lineup.

Originally introduced as a special release tied to the 2026 PDGA World Championships and the legendary Toboggan course, the Sled was built with a specific purpose in mind: give players a disc that feels different in the hand, controls angles with confidence, and delivers dependable performance.

Now, with a stock Z release, that same unique feel becomes easier to find and easier to trust as part of your everyday bag.

What Is the Sled?

The Sled is a putt and approach disc designed for control, touch, and reliable placement.

The shape was inspired by the rolling hills of Toboggan, one of the courses set for the 2026 PDGA World Championships. It is not trying to be the fastest disc in your bag, and it is not built to be an extreme utility disc. Instead, the Sled gives players a workable approach option that offers a clean, manageable flight. That makes it useful for the shots where accuracy matters more than distance.

Whether you are attacking a tight landing zone, shaping a short forehand, or trying to control speed into the green, the Sled gives you a disc you can lean on without feeling like you have to overpower it. Best used for:

  • Controlled approach shots

  • Touch forehands

  • Backhand approaches

  • Short placement shots

  • Angle control

  • Low-speed confidence

  • Approaches where you want a dependable finish without too much fade
