Description

The Discraft Z Line Zone Banger GT putter is the Zone with the Banger GT groove top, molded in Z Line plastic. It's built for players who use a thumb-track grip, and it's at its best on approaches and short drives. This listing is the Concept Test Flight release of the Zone Banger GT.

Z Plastic

Z is Discraft's flagship hard, translucent, and glossy plastic. It offers maximum durability, resists wear and tear, and holds its original flight stability for years. Discraft's recent Z refresh gives it an enhanced look and feel while keeping the same trusted flight, so your Zone Banger GT will fly the same way for a long time.

The Mold

This concept disc merges the Zone's legacy with the Banger GT's groove top, giving a unique grip, especially for thumb-track holds, with a slightly overstable and predictable flight.

Stability

The Zone Banger GT is overstable. Overstable discs resist turning over and fade hard at the end, which makes them predictable in wind and at high power. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it resists turning over and finishes with a strong, dependable fade to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with that hard fade finishing to the right. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. It's best suited to intermediate and advanced players, and it's a valuable utility disc for anyone who plays in wind.

Flight Numbers

Rating Value What it means
Speed 4 Slow putter speed, easy to control without much power.
Glide 3 Moderate glide that carries without sailing past the target.
Turn 0 No high-speed turn, so it holds its line early in flight.
Fade 3 A strong, reliable fade to the left (RHBH) at the end of the flight.
