Bones Bearings Ceramic Reds
Description
Bones Ceramic REDS skateboard bearings put ceramic balls in a REDS bearing for faster acceleration and less friction. Ceramic balls weigh much less than steel, so Ceramic REDS are faster than Super REDS with or without lubricant.
Because ceramic is so much harder than steel, the balls help re-polish the races when dirt gets in, giving a self-healing benefit. They also won't rust, which further extends their life. Ceramic REDS use a bone-colored shield and laser-engraved outer races for easy identification.
Who Bones Ceramic REDS Are For
- Skaters who want ceramic performance at a REDS price
- Riders chasing faster acceleration
- Skaters in wet or dirty conditions
- Anyone who wants a longer-lasting bearing
Skate Rated, Not ABEC Rated
ABEC ratings were created for industrial machinery, not skateboarding. They measure tolerances at speeds far beyond anything a skateboard sees, and don't account for the side loads, impacts, and dirt that skate bearings deal with every session. Bones designs every bearing to its own Skate Rated standard, with clearances, tolerances, materials, and lubricant chosen specifically for skating.

FAQ
Are ceramic bearings worth it?
Ceramic balls are lighter, harder, and smoother than steel, so they accelerate faster, roll farther, and won't rust. They cost more, but they also resist wear longer.
How can I tell Ceramic REDS apart?
They use a bone-colored shield with laser-engraved outer races.
How many bearings come in a pack?
8 bearings, which is enough for all 4 wheels on one skateboard. Every wheel uses 2 bearings.
Do these come with spacers and speed washers?
No. Spacers and speed washers are sold separately.
