Description

The MVP Fission Dimension distance driver is MVP's 14.5-speed overstable distance driver, molded in Fission plastic. It's built for power throwers and anyone who needs a reliable headwind driver, and it's at its best on max-distance drives into the wind and hard-fading lines.

Fission Plastic

Fission is MVP's breakthrough lightweight plastic. Its Fission Microbubble Technology creates an ultralight Neutron core with evenly distributed, imperceptible microbubbles, which lets MVP put an even denser GYRO overmold on the rim. The result is a light throwing weight with a substantial feel and improved durability over other bubble plastics. Fission is opaque with a matte finish, and it's a great way to get extra distance from your Dimension without the floppy feel of typical lightweight discs. The Dimension is also available in Neutron.

What Is Project Lab Coat?

Project Lab Coat (PLC) is MVP's lineup refresh, making sure their discs are the best they can be today, not what made sense a decade ago. Many stock stamps were 10 to 15 years old, so PLC brings new designs built on MVP's multi-foil stamping. Fission stamps are getting minor refinements while keeping the same concept. Starting in 2026, every MVP plastic line moves to a white GYRO rim.

Why it's a win: the flight and plastic don't change. PLC discs come from the same molds and plastic, made in the same Marlette, Michigan facility, so this Dimension flies just like the pre-PLC "Classics," with a fresh look and a white rim that's easier to spot on the course.

The Mold

The Dimension is a 21.1 cm distance driver with a 24.5 mm rim. The Dimension balances overstable resistance to turn while allowing a full flight before fade. Its ultra-fast speed and glide-promoting dome help it cover ground, and its reliable fade helps you pinpoint your target from a long way out. It's one of Eagle McMahon's most-used drivers.

Stability

The Dimension is overstable. Overstable discs resist turning over and fade hard at the end, which makes them predictable in wind and at high power. For right-hand backhand (RHBH) throwers, it resists turning over and finishes with a strong, dependable fade to the left. Left-hand backhand (LHBH) throwers will see the mirror image, with that hard fade finishing to the right. Forehand flights flip that pattern: right-hand forehand (RHFH) follows the LHBH line and left-hand forehand (LHFH) follows the RHBH line. This Fission run is rated 14.5/5/-1/2, with a little more turn and less fade than the standard 14.5/5/0/3 Dimension. It's built for intermediate to advanced players with strong arm speed.

Flight Numbers

Rating Value What it means
Speed 14.5 Very high speed that needs strong arm speed to fly as rated.
Glide 5 Lots of glide to help it stay in the air and add distance.
Turn -1 A touch of high-speed turn to the right (RHBH) for a little extra distance.
Fade 2 A moderate, dependable fade at the end of the flight.

FAQ

Is the MVP Dimension good for beginners?

No. The Dimension is a demanding 14.5-speed overstable driver. MVP notes that average throwers get all the overstability they want from it, which for most beginners means a hard, early fade.

Is the MVP Dimension overstable?

Yes. The Dimension is overstable, rated 14.5/5/-1/2, so it resists turning over and finishes with a dependable fade.

What's the difference between Fission and Neutron plastic?

Fission uses a microbubble Neutron core to make the disc lighter while increasing the GYRO effect. Standard Neutron is heavier and has the widest color selection.

Does Project Lab Coat change how the Dimension flies?

No. MVP says Project Lab Coat is solely a visual refresh. The Dimension is made in the same mold, from the same plastic, in the same facility, so it flies exactly the same.

Who should throw the Dimension?

High-power players who need dependable stability. Strong throwers will see only the smallest turnover at high speed or into headwinds, then a reliable fade.

What disc is similar to the MVP Dimension?

The MVP Eclipse Photon (11/5/-0.5/2.5) is a slower, stable-overstable driver that's easier to control.
